Short Gig at the Fringe Club

NOT.AGAIN. I remember, the very first time Reign Lee personally invited me on her first gig, I didn’t make it, and this time – that’s tomorrow, I’m going to miss it again! Feeling friends kasi kami. To check on Reign Lee, purchase or listen to her upcoming CD, Broken Skylines on iTunes.
I used to worked kasi with her Mom during our short-lived business-gig with USANA – but she never forget sending email updates about her daughter’s photography and music. I can’t imagine she’s getting popular already. Plus, KJwan is doing back to back? How can I ever miss this? I have work to do tomorrow.
I’ve never been ‘inside’ The Fringe Club (pictured). It’s situated near the HK’s favourite weekend hang-out, Lan Kwai Fong and I had no idea that gigs and other shows are held there. The club provides ‘rent-free’ exhibition and performance facilities to Hong Kong and mostly international artists and performers – but takes 30% of sales income from artists and performers
On the contrary, I supposed this blog is currently in hibernating. I have tried hitting the power button off then sends this to hibernation just like it supposed to but I couldn’t. Maybe that or I was busy reading dozens upon dozens of blogs asking petition to the America’s most watched TV show Desperate Housewives about the slurry remarks against the Philippine Medical School. I’ve already read a few expressing their thoughts with this issue and others who just said, “I am not offended at all” (I think I said that).
However, it is just a TV show, and an opinion of a fictional character does not reflect the opinions of real people. But whatever that is, I am not in contest with those who expresses their views about this. Besides, the said show have already issued a statement apologizing for a remark made by actress Teri Hatcher’s character.
Since I received an invitation via email with the gig, I figured it might be better off doing this right away to be more precise in a state of hibernation.

sayang di ka makapunta sa gig na yan kasi may work ka tomorrow. Pero maraming time pa naman na susunod.
You have to let me know when she’s in the US. I’ll support the show and go. I’m sure one of the cities has to be New York or D.C.
Funny though but I’m also not offended. Though I’d agree that you don’t have to put down people for any reason, I think we have better things to worry about than a petition. Maybe a better system of education? A less corrupt government? A booming economy that could stop the braindrain? I dunno. I just think there are other more important things.
i wrote something about that DH thing, just to get it out of my system. offended kasi ako, well, i’m actually offended for the entire pinoy medical community. plus, i feel some censure against ABC for allowing something like that to happen. but anyhoo…
sayang naman you won’t be able to make it to the concert. she sounds interesting.
You must have a special feature there K, I don’t have the hibernation button, I need to contact WP for an update incase I need one in the future.
We’ve many Filipinos nurses in our area, and they’re hard working and extremely nice, most send money back to their parents, something to admire because you don’t see that very often around here. It’s the same way in the Thai community, if they’ve a degree from the US, and then they’ll asked, is it bought?
hi K — sayang nga ano?… kami naman the kids invited us to a dance party next saturday, gusto daw nila kami i treat. sempre sabi namin ni hubs, ok lang. pero imagine, my 3 and 5 year olds inviting us to a dance, hahaha. am sure kapag teen agers na yan, etsa pwera na kami…
Pssst ninong K! anong agenda? saan ang susi? wala akong nakita sa ilalim ng floormat mo,lol paki hulog na lang sa email box ko plsssssssss
K, dai ka pwedeng mag call in sick? sabihon mo sa boss mo, “makulog ang payo ko or gakurso ako, i can’t come to work.” paminsan-minsan, okay lang basta bakong habitual ang absent.
