H&M

Right. But when I visited the H&M shop today, the queue outside has finally ended. Once you set foot at the shop, it’s as if gives you the feeling of entering Madonna’s personal wardrobe. Everything on the Mannequin display would simply look like the Pop singer herself. And you wonder, “did she really design all of these”? It seemed that glamour and design styles were the best explanation of the overwhelming enthusiasm by the locals. Wrong. I don’t give a damn if Madonna designed all garments from all angles in all floors. Mens section is situated at the basement but after seeing at least thousands and more fashion-conscious locals with zero vicibility of staff to helping you find the right kind of clothes, I decided that as soon as I find one, I can leave the place in a matter of time.

In which I did not.

I was already feeling a little disoriented on where I want to start looking – I had no idea what I was looking – I was surprised however that even on the Cashier there is still a long line. I hate lining up. Period. And again, I got stucked in the Cashier for more than thirty minutes or maybe worse if you plan to visit during the weekends. Even if you try a few jeans & shirts, the long queue at the Dressing room was even crowded. I can’t blame the locals since the shop have actually come up with a more affordable clothes but lacks in taste.

To me, H&M is just the typical brand-design that nonetheless just another option like the Esprit or the worse, Giordano. The shirts are mostly made in Bangladesh (Yuri, you’re right). But I think Madonna’s design is not my kind of taste – men’s designs are simply a copycat of Zara, except that my purpose of going in there is to buy a pair of boxer briefs (honestly, all of my underwears was sent in the laundry shop) so I had no choice because they are cheap (HK&99 for three) – you know me well when it comes to undergarments, a pair of white socks (HK$59 for a pair of four) and the XS-tee with lime color prints (HK$99). Other than that, I would still opt for Zara as their jeans & shirts do the job for me. But hey, “this shop is for girls”, Madonna should have sticked in designing the women’s only instead of putting way too many crappy designs on Men’s. I’m definately not going back. Nagreklamo. Good thing in Hong Kong is that, places to go are short distances and it’s always easy to find another shop.

ApocalyptoOn another event, I made a date with two of my friends later in the evening and three of us decided to watch a movie. Funny thing was, two of them couldn’t come up which movie are good for threesome and I declined to what other suggests, so we played a game by finally deciding to watch three different movies separately, one went for 300 and the other begged to catch on the last minute booking for a feel-good movie, Because I Said So. Alas, the movie Apocalypto made my day. Even if the movie was a bloody, I’d say for all its excesses, an absorbing, violent, disturbing, outrageous trip kind of a movie, I enjoyed it. Gibson may not seemed to be a deep thinker but he’s a heck of a storyteller.

Even though it’s her Madgesty herself, I think most of the designs were dragging. The one that was making the rage was Viktor and Rolf and also Stella Mcartney.

But I also had a major shopping last week with Odd!

Hi Charles, careful of what you wish for… hehehe. It easy to say than done.

Am I? Thank you for reminding me, the next time you play that game again, I will make it up to you.

Range, the reason I went there was only out of curiosity. People around here are always fascinated on what’s NEW in town, whatelse could that be? A shopping Mall.

I know plenty of gay dudes who are spending their US$$$ on Madonna’s line, and will too if and when the Aussie creates her own line…
