Wireless

Literally. But guess what, everytime I’m online with “Nancy“, it occasionally disconnects every five damn minutes so even before I press the save button, my post just poofed. The problem with me is that I don’t use a writepad to save my entries. I simply use the ‘write post’ off directly on my dashboard.

So it’s really awful and annoying. What can you do if you’re a wireless web addict stealing the connections from someone somewhere few feets away? I don’t know if people on-the-go do experience the same thing, say if you’re using a Blackberry, or other smart phones raises the same questions I do.

Is wireless a convenience or it’s likely that connections is just totally random? Does Nancy Home already know it’s me by now? Even if I have more things to write, I feel like as if I’m trying to type as fast as I could just to hit the save or publish button there and hereof.

Do you think I should re-apply for my Broadband so I won’t be dealing with so much time trying to find the available connections everytime I flicked and refresh the connection to get the interference resources from my wireless laptop? Stop. That’s a long question. Someone told me that maybe Nancy has problem with her router machine or maybe her microwave machine is on all the time. When I don’t loose connection I can see the noise level jump way up and it then turned to full green. Maybe I can negotiate with her next time and allows me to enjoy this tiny hours while I’m blogging. Spare me some coffee here, folks. I’m trying to enjoy this online thing.

What would you do if you’re in my shoes? Would you feel mad? I’m getting dizzy. I have just enough experience to be dangerous. Do I need to give up? Teach me some proper language here.

Ok I didn’t mean YOU. And btw, it’s finally December. Time to open the tiny box of my 12 inches Xmas tree. In few days I’m decorating my tiny flat so I need some help!

  3. Hi K,

Okay. I’m back. Remember what I told you about the surgery thing? Well they thought I got cancer. So the doctor did the surgery. And I had to wait for the result. Turned out…false alarm. No cancer. Just hormonal thing. Fibromuculessomethingsomethingdamnallthesemedicalterms

Anyway. Is Nancy the only available software for this? Nancy is like a software that search for wireless connection around you yes?

If Nancy is the problem…and if there’s a different software to detect wireless connection… just use another software then.

Btw..i changed my life journal layout. No fancy smancy graphics. A few lines here, a few lines there. You won’t have problem navigatin. I’m going with the web 2.0 look. :D I just started posting again. Oh and I got your comment on my blog. Thanks.

  5. Decorating Christmas trees are fun. I recently went to the city the other day and they had this huge Christmas tree with all these crystals on it. It was totally awesome.

  6. The internet connection going down for a day? Alamak! I can’t live without the internet *cries* And the christmas trees, oh no…

Vince, it’s on and off. Considering Xmas is coming, I hope Nancy would be so kind enough to spare me her connections. Hahahaha. I think I know where she lives. We live in the same building and the same floor so obviously, she’s “the girl next door”. One day she’ll knock and say, “FOOK STOP STEALING MY CONNECTIONS”. We never know. Right, my Xmas tree is too small, I’ll put that up soon so my tiny flat would look more “seasonal”.

Consuela, I’m thinking aloud to have my broadband back. So far, during daylight, it’s easy to connect, Nancy must be out shopping so I’m here replying. Yeah your tree is so tall and pretty, I saw that in your earlier post.

hi Ear, thanks God you’re OK. I was kind of bothered when you mentioned that to me. I honestly feel sad when people get really really sick, I’m scared and most of the time, I don’t know how to react to a situation. I hope that you are doing great. Nancy is my wireless buddy. I have no other software (I don’t know) except for my laptop’s built-in wireless function. I’ll live with it.

Friendship (Ate Sach), everytime I blog, I’m just excited, I don’t save them as a draft, medyo kapag may naiisip na akong isusulat dire-diretso na lang para spontaneous ang pag blog. Mahirap talaga kapag nasanay ka na naka broadband, tapos ngayon parang DIAL-UP na ang siste, kakapanibago.

Weng, when I was very little, yes I enjoy Xmas decorating. Now that I’m older, I still think it’s fun but then again, I hate it everytime I put them on, I kind of like, “the fook with this stuff, I’m the only one going to take them off after Xmas”. Hahaha.

Ed, exactly. I can’t simply be unattached in the internet, I freaked out easily if I can’t go online. Thinking if I’ll be off line for so long I would be feeling VERY disconnected from the world. It’s like when you weren’t checking your emails for a longest time and when you finally able to read of them, you’d realized there’s so much happening in such a short time. Frankly I was a bit, well, scared!

Hehe, I like the title K. She does “screw” you well aye? :P

    Have fun with Nancy! Hehe.

Ear, I miss you. Hopping over now!

  11. Just like everything else, your “free” wireless connection service has an end…hahahahaha!

  12. hi k,

i have a question for you. In this link,

    http://knoizki.wordpress.com/2006/09/28/shadow-of-a-habit/

you include include the cassidy song “me and you” next to the thumbnail sized photograph of the album cover it says “download:” with Me and You written in orange. When I click on the link I believe that windows media player or some other player opens the link and begins to play the song.

I WANT THIS! to happen on my blog. WordPress.com is giving me headaches. Do you have any advice on how you did this.

    Thanks,
    Gabe

  13. When I changed internet connections in Montreal, Canada, I was stuck without broadband for a few weeks. It was sobering. You take it for granted. The wifi in our condos didn’t really reach us that well. When I was there, I decided that I didn’t pay for cable or anything else, but I would pay for the fastest internet connection available. Which I did.
