Then end of the day, you’ll dramatically starved yourself.

My dinner was so last week. Everytime I feel to having a snackie time, it gives me a bitof avoiding the fridge. Everything inside are covered with ziplocs. I suspect it’s been there for more than two weeks. The ready-to-eat foods are usually stone-cold covered in ice bricks and before defrozing them, my appetite drips on top of each other.

Here’s what I’ve found.

I have dozens of that McDonalds’ heinz value pack-per-squirt ketchup placed in a ferrero empty box. Call me cheap because everytime I gobbled that Big M burger up, it always comes with an extra ketchup so I’d usually keep them aside. There’s this grade “a” eggs, as what people here call it, from decent supermarket like the Park n Shop. I don’t know why they are a little expensive when they all looked the same to me, for crying out loud – has been sitting in its original carton since last month. I was told, if you keep them as fresh as possible, avoid taking them out of the carton and do not lay them on the egg container. So for doing that, out of the blue, they are now a dearie left overs.

My eco-fresh whirlpool fridge is four feet tall. The door is covered with nice postcards from Canada, Istanbul, USA & Greece (thank you guys, you know who you are). It has tiny drawers inside and even dozen of coke-in-cans certainly can’t accomodate them. I got peanut butter dated since O-three, a strawberry jam that is now past its ‘use by’ date, a plastic full of dried bangus (home made dried marinated fish) came from Bicol two christmases ago, a medium salsa dip for nachos – J certainly loves them (I miss you terribly), my favorite tzatziki dip for my japanese sunflower seed crackers, a dreyers ice cream I bought during the summer months – because a diabetic person craves for sweets at no given time, a chicken drumsticks and… guess what? My yaya’s nivea face cream is also part of my fridge. It’s been there for ages and I don’t know what made her do that. WTF.

Well I guess it’s a reminder for a major cleaning this weekend. Aw, what the heck, I’ll just go with the cup noodles.

i tend to acquire all my little things :P

it’s the big things that still on the list:
    -more travel
    -condo
    -42′ lcd tv
    -another omega watch

  2. I love no. 6. I love belts with huge buckels, best fashion statement EVARRR!!!11!!!!11

  3. Nice stuff are outrageously expensive indeed & we are too vain to wish them lol

And I wish to have 106 cm (or bigger & wider, lol) plasma tv ,too!

  4. 4 K

Neko, I will choose on the “more travel”. I haven’t done that until now. I need extra fund, but I’ll definately travel back to my hometown, I easily appreciate the simplicity there.

Wengestein, I think that belt is not available in HK. I’ve searched and my GQ magazine tells me only available in the US. I’m hoping to find one similar like that from Marlboro Classics. Heee haa!

Cheh, PLASMA TV. My bulky Sharp isn’t space-friendly, malaki nga pero out dated na. At least kapag umuwi ako sa Pinas, pwede ng ilagay sa luggage ang plasma. Panis eh ang bigat kaya?

  5. go for broke!!!

that’s what my subconscious seem to tell me every time.
and almost every single time, i sunconsciously listen to it.

oh well, gotta find me a rich husband na lang, hehe…

  6. Isn’t it stupid that the best nice things you want are always expensive?

It only sound stupid lalo na kong wala pang budget para dito. Ako din how I wish I can buy the Algeria or Sedara (Manolo Blahnik) shoes. This would perfectly match to the evening gown I bought last week for the coming gala. Kaya lang I can’t afford it kay I settled for Escada nalang (gee ang yabang noh).

Well anyway, talagang ganyan Knoiz, kong ano yong magagandang bagay yon yong mahal. Kaya nga ako mahal ng asawa ko dahil ako maganda :D (joke lang yong maganda ha).

Re header image. Nakita mo na ba yong latest theme creation ko? It’s a Christmas theme and if you like I can give you the image. You can see it here http://beseenhosting.com/testblog/

    What do you think?

  7. the pendant is divine :)

Vina, “oh well, gotta find me a rich husband na lang, hehe…” parang ang hirap naman nyan. But I suppose the ‘music never ends’, the more you find the more you can’t find one, ika nga. With any luck comes January next year, one of those things will be mine.

Ate Beng, hahaha but of course – you are the most precious expensive “thing” to your hubby kaya special ka no doubt about it. On the Xmas header, I’ve seen it ang ganda kaso my free wp.com only allows modification sa header so pwede gawan mo ako? Salamat in advance.

Hi there chelsea, thanks for visiting. I too love the pendant, there’s this “feng shui” feeling in that 10K coin pendant with a Tibetan chirography. The pendant emphasizes the importance of Love, Compassion, Joy and Equanimity. Nice, huh?

  9. do you like the header image of that christmas theme? i can give it to you at siyempre the same size ng current header mo. i am sure it would like nice here kasi mas vivid ang kulay noon. i’ll give you the link later where you can download the customized header image okay? ciao

  10. correction your honor

*i am sure it would look nice here…

  11. INDULGE!

is that your christmas wish list? ayos sa style ah!

My gulay! you still have food from 03? Dear you better do a major cleaning up. tulungan kita! bigay mo sa akin yung bangus! :)

  12. Ate Beng, I like the header, I tried nga kaso when I cropped the size, medyo blurry kasi yung edges nya di format sa K2 header. Salamat and I will wait (not until Xmas) yung file ng image sa theme na ginamit mo.

Duke, you want the bangus eh parang may amag na eh tinapon ko na. I’m ratpack I keep things kahit perishable di ko pa naitatapon. Nasanay sa may maid sa bahay. Or baka tamad lang talaga ako pagdating diyan. BTW, those are my bday wishlist, I give gifts for myself remember? Kapag Xmas ok na sa akin yung kumain na lang sa labas at tumawag sa Pinas, masaya na ako nun.

  13. I really appreciate the songs. I downloaded them and am now listening to them.

About your fridge, my husband saves all those little ketchups, mustards, taco sauces, mayonaise and relish packets. They come in handy for picnics and when you run out of the large size.

If you need some easy recipes, you might want to check out the recipes on my travel website: http://www.usaer.com/recipes.htm
They are easy to prepare and some may be cooked on a car engine, over a campfire, and while backpacking. You may really be interested in Ramen Magic and Pantry Cooking With Mostly Optional Ingredients.

take care… btw The Queerchef says hi

  15. Hi Cyber, you are welcome. It’s free and I’m glad you like the music. Thank you for the recipe blog. I’ve found some that I might consider, one day I hope, cooking. It’s just that I have no passion into it.

Not my kind of thing when everything around here in HK is very accessible, I don’t need to drive just to find food. I’ll try some recipe, why not? Thanks for (comment game) visiting.

  16. Christmas.
Nokia N73 Camera phone or Moto KRZR phone
    Nikon D200 DSLR
Sony T50 Point and shoot camera
    50″ plasma screen
    Kymco Ego 250 scooter
    Kawasaki Z1000 motorcycle.
    EDOC Laundry t-shirts

I guess I should scratch the bike and the scooter, that won’t happen. Though I have already gotten myself a crazy desktop computer for super cheap with a 22″ LCD widescreen Viewsonic panel.

  17. i’ve decided i’m gonna make the switch and get a macbook. but i’m going to wait till leopard comes out. i want one now though! haha

  18. Hi Vince, those are my Bday wishlist really. I always tell myself, I’ve been working hard all these years so I need to treat myself something back and that makes me feel better. Forget the bills for a while and you know, you can always have the things you like if you work harder.

Thanks for the visit. I play that game all the time and it surprises me when people visits here. I’m glad you enjoyed my blog. The postcard idea was really sweet, take a look here. Let’s do that, send me your mailing address via my email add and I’ll send you a card first. How’s that?

Range, those are BIG and flattering gifts to have this XMAS. I don’t think my cash bonus next year can help me buy one a big plasma TV. But I really wanted a new laptop, the MacBook. It’s simply divine.

hi Pablo, I didn’t expect you’re visiting here. Thank you. I really enjoy your snapshots of HK. During my FOB days, I’ve done those touristy thing, taking pictures and visiting the many parts of HK. My first grand camera was not even digital. I spent a lot of money every weekend for the prints and now I miss doing that.
