And want to return to a time when life was simple. You know those thoughts?

I used to wonder what I was going to do or be when I grew up, not worry about what I’ll do if this doesn’t work out.

I remember being naive and thinking that everyone was happy because I was. I would walk on the beach and only think of the sand between my toes and the prettiest seashell I could find.

But somewhere in my youth, I matured and I learned too much.

I don’t want my day to consist of server crashes, mountains of laundry, depressing news, how to survive more days in the month than there is money in the bank, electric bills, gossip, illness, broken toilet flush and lining up in a grocery store.

Can I resign as an adult? I want to be six again.

    Free the Kid in you!

Always had the feeling that I’ve wasted my youth days… I got married young. Destined? Whatever.

K, you know your ‘ginger’ entry.. it sounded like you were six.. whining :P

You have the child in you.. sorry, too late to accept resignations.. but you’re almost resigning from adulthood soon, welcoming yourself to an elderly hood :P hehe, is there such a word at all?!

  3. ahhh…yes to be six again…no worries, no responsibilities…and able to play all day long and annoy my parents to the max because I won’t listen to them!! yeah…I’m in the same shoes as you and I would love to turn back time and be a kid all over again :)

  5. 5 K

Hey Duke, give me some marshmallows & I want to go to the toilet, would you mind cleaning my poo poo pls? LOL. Is that six?

  6. 6 K

Asha – how dare you say that to me.. hahaha an elderly? Are you trying to give me a hint that this is a kind of disease? When we get older we tend to feel naughty, irritable & just want to pee in our pants? Scary.

But it’s the other way around. I wanted to play Tom and Ginger is the Jerry although it turns out that I’m playing both of the same characters. Really, I want to be six again and hide under your skirt. Sniff. Hahaha.

  7. 7 K

Let’s play kickball during recess and paint with watercolors in art. Or eat some M&M because they are better than money or go the to McDonald’s and think that it’s a four star restaurant. Can you be my Mama, Consuela?

  8. 8 K

Na inspired ata ako dun sa earlier post mo about your Anak. Di ko lang matandaan kung inaamoy amoy ang singit ko noon ng Mama ko. Lika amuyin mo, ibang amuy na. ;)

  9. 9 duke

You should be potty trained by six!!! :D

  10. 10 K

Di ko na maalala what age I learned the potty thing. But I remember I never really uses the toilet, sa dyaro ata ako nun na ebak and Mom clean my butt with water sa tabo and I spent my time at my Lola’s house and play in the kanal.

  11. I missed the ton of energy we used to have. Running, climbing, jumping, skipping etc etc all over and still game for more. My turbine is wearing out.

Hee! I saw the link to your picture on The Mirror Project. Quite liked the blurry effect around your face. Mine is #32745 and #32744.

  12. 12 K

Pari, we MADE it. That was fun really and I din’t know you can submit more than one? I lurve your first one. I may have to submit more. Addicting I may say.

It’s the magic of childhood. We knew simple rhymes but that didn’t bother us, because we didn’t know what we didn’t know and we didn’t care. Wait. We all knew to be happy because we didn’t know all the things that should make us worried and upset. I enjoy the climbing too and parents would scream at us worried of hurting ourselves.

reality sucks… sometimes you wonder is knowing than not knowing better. does it feel better to know more? then u wonder again…

when we were kids.. u wish to grow.. then when ur there.. u wish u were a kid..

    reality sucks.

  14. You think too much and thinking kills you..slowly.
And you feel like that because you pay attention to this things as being a stone on your shoulder.
Think about this things as normal parts of your life.Think that you enjoy doing this.
Be human and be sad about it and allow yourself few minutes to be pissed off on life..but no more…because the servers will crash again, the laundry mountain gets bigger and you just lost those minutes thinking about them.
    Eheheheh!
    ::sticks tongue and runs:::

  15. Take time out and do something for yourself—as in really change your routine so you can enjoy that youth. You’re still (relatively) young so just set aside a few hours this weekend and go out. Get the subway and go to a random place. Go into a building and get off at a random floor. “Being a kid” doesn’t leave us: we just have to find ways to harness it again and enjoy life!

  16. 16 K

SS, life tends to go backwards. Isn’t it nice that once in a while we want to become a kid again telling your Mom that you are sick and need to spend the the day in a couch with her?

    Lezgo watch Tom & Jerry.

  17. 17 K

Hey come back here. *grabs c. trinity’s feet and go on top her while punching her on the tummy* Hahaha. Out of boredom maybe I do think a lot. I think being “normal” is boring – or maybe I was anticipating too much of the plans for my homecoming but didn’t went well. It sucks that you end up thinking back the old times & smile about it.

  18. 18 K

“You’re still (relatively) young so just set aside a few hours this weekend and go out.”

Not young, Jack. I look tiny and that’s all. I’m young-looking and I don’t look like my age, that’s all. Someone told me the same thing, GO out and enjoy life. But what is enjoying life really? Blogging is enjoying, I would say, calling via long distance to your lovedones is a joy, or wathcing the cartoons is enjoying. It doesn’t really mean I go out and have plenty of beers during the weekend because that’s what people are doing.

The best part of enjoying for me is when I really smell like a rotten potatoe. Hahaha.

  19. The most important thing is to live in the now without fear of the past or future. So if blogging helps, then I say blog away! :)
I’m betting you’re younger than me!

  20. 20 K

Hahaha Jack, everyone will reach in certain age. So we should seize the day. Like you, maybe you have experienced a lot of things in life, mine is not very complicated but I’m sure everyone else does. I worry about going back to work in 2 days. I just wish, my holidays won’t get over soon. I’m in my late 30’s btw.

  21. 21 dez

when you’re a kid, you have summer vacation. and your mom buys you your shoes. and you think that the car drives by itself. i miss the innocence-slash-ignorance.

why did we have to grow old.

  22. 22 K

Because we eat too much junk foods, Dez. We also want to wear LV. DKNY, D&G logos so we want to GROW and work and spend and … ENJOY, if that’s what we call it. There are so much things to learn, time is short (we always say that) and complaint “I wish I was still a kid”.

  23. I feel it’s possible to keep that holiday feeling going for a bit longer with my crazy weekend suggestions. But you know, blogging kind of helps me feel young, too. And you look pretty good for your age!

  24. Would it help us if we just ended our obsession with fancy-pants brands and chartered our own course? Forget what our peers think, we are our own people.

  25. 25 K

I’m glad you said blogging can help us feeling young. Although it also gives us baggy eyes like Panda, I still enjoy it. You can never imagine that 3 hours is passing so fast and you forgot going to take your shit break & cook dinner.

What I’m saying you’re making me addicted to this Jack. Your FAULT. ;)

  26. Haha, you might need your own gallery in the end! I read that folks can submit up to 3 photos per week on that site.

Adding on to what you said about not knowing the things that make us worried and hurt… If growing up is through learning new experiences, (and we do grow up a little bit from falling off a tree, scalding our hands in hot water, getting rejected and so on since we become inhibited) then to have a real childhood, there should never be any opportunity for pain to taint our happiness. That can only happen if you stop living. And where’s the joy in that?! Sigh.

Next best thing is to be a big baby. I’m one. haha!

  27. 27 K

I’ll try to do that when I’m in the mood. For now, I think it’s just one of the coolest “project” to do online. I’m a swellheaded person so you know.

Can I join in your little kitchen and mess with the puddings? ;)

  28. K, let’s go play! M&Ms sounds good right about now! :)

  29. 29 neko

the taoist goal is to have the wisedom of wise old men, but be able to see the world throught the eyes of a child :)

  30. I know, K, I’m like a drug dealer but with blogs!
Neko, I like what you are saying!

  31. 31 K

Isn’t it nice just being a kid once and a while C? Go make some jellos and squeeze and throw them on the floor and runnnnnn under the table, mommy is coming. ;)

  32. 32 K

Hi Neko. I remember you said this proverb to me a long time ago, just can’t remember what it was.

For a moment, I just think it’s easy to turn back the clock and be a kid. Ok silence, I’m meditating.

  33. 33 K

A drug dealer? I think you’re the one helping us out in coCo to be on top of each other, Jack.

Hey meet Neko, he lives in Hawaii and he’s a Thai.

  34. Hi Neko! Thanks for the introduction, K. My grandfather studied and lectured in Hawai’i.
Glad I can help with coCo, but IMO this only works because you and I are both on it, so I cannot take sole credit. :) It’s our mutual willingness to have a dialogue.

  35. 35 K

And that’s what “kids” do, play around and have fun with the toys. Blogs are my toy. like a game everyone else enjoy and both of us are the participants. We are not competing but you’re the one teaching me with the “goal”, to keep things going.

  36. I see it similarly. Blogging is my hobby, and if in the process I help people or make a connection, then so much the better. I think we teach ourselves—and if we can keep the game going, then may playtime never end!

  37. Hey wait a minute, since when am I the mother figure? *bleah* Am going to pick up those Barbie, She-Ra and My Little Ponies dolls right now.

  38. 38 K

Hey that’s smart, come back here.

  39. Hey,stop punching me or i’ll punch you where it hurts the most!
    Lmao!
Normal is boring..might be true. But normal is also comfortable.
    Well said Niko!

  40. 40 K

    c. trinity, the pic pretty much explains. I just want to be a kid. And I think being normal is not normal right?

  41. Wrong!
Let the child inside you out then,if you feel you’re trapped.

  42. 42 K

Right, I’ll just go ran outside butt-naked while it’s raining. Hahaha, I think that’s childishly exciting.

  43. You know, if you’re going to be a kid again. Coffee and smoking are no-nos. But well at least you can still have your coke and a higher chance of having brittle bones. :p

  44. 44 K

When I was kid, I played the “fire”. My Uncles would play mahjong and we stay there nearby to eat their peanuts, drink some of their bottle of cokes or get some coffee, since they can’t leave the table, we help them out lighting their cigs and I kinda puff a bit to see what it tastes like. But they weren’t a bad influenced really. I do think I started smoking when I was already in college. Reading books all night memorizing the human skeleton could keep me sane and that was when I start hiding one stick in between my books and learnt it slowly. It wasn’t pleasant, really but… wait… *puff.* Excuse me. ;)

  45. 45 Diana

Hi ako si diana.I really want to be a filipino actress and singer…but how? I can’t go to Philippines cuz i live in canada…plz help.

  46. Diana I am not sure if you’re a spam asking for help or a citizen of Canada asking for the Philippine Consulate in your country?
